Free Shoot- Carnival
Tales by Light
In the Netflix Original series, Tales by Light, the viewer follows the stories and journeys of well known and skilled photographers and their passion in photography. My favorite photographer by far was definitely Richard I'Anson, a freelance travel photographer who has been in his field for over 32 years. In his episode of Tales by Light, he is on the hunt to capture photos of a fire rite, (attempted) the Himalayan Snow Leopard, and the Festival of Holi. My favorite event he shot was definitely the Festival of Holi, a Hindu spring festival also known as the ‘festival of colors’, celebrated in India and Nepal. The festival consisted of many celebrations, full of life and color, which is one of my favorite elements in photography. I’Anson got right in the middle of the festivities, letting the participants bombard him with colored water, colored powders, etc. By the end of his shoot, him and his camera (well protected) were covered in all types of vibrant colors. ...
Enchanted: I really liked the sun flare thing, and the background, but it took me a minute to comprehend how it connected to the theme, but once I did, it was really cool.
ReplyDeleteGhoulish: This picture was really creepy, and it really fit the theme. I liked that the background was simple and how the subject's attire added to the feel of the photo. One thing I would improve on would be to add a child's toy to make the image creepier.
Chilling: I really liked how the subject's facial expressions add to the feel of the photo and how the background doesn't take away from the subject. The main thing I would change would be to not cut off the subject's elbows.
Eerie: I thought that this photo was the best out of the bunch because it's simple yet completely terrifying. the only thing I would change would be to find a younger subject to make the context more reasonable.
Ominous: This photo didn't really give off as much ominous feel as it could. I would have positioned the hand somewhere else, or put the person the hand belonged too behind the subject in a black ski mask. The composition of this photo was really good.
Undead: This photo really fit in with the theme, and the white background added to the "undead" feel. The main thing that I would change would be to not cut off the subject's wrist or elbow.
Strange: I thought that this photo could have been much better. The background would have been better if it had been a solid color and the object was by itself or with an entire person.
Devilish: This picture embodies the theme. The biggest thing that I would change would be to get rid of the wall and sock on the top. Other than that, the positioning of the subject and her facial expression as well as the props, make this picture as devilish as it is.
I think that you did a really good job with the prompts.
